The exhibition also shows how Slovenian popular folk music developed from the tradition of folk singing and music-making in the second half of the 20th century, making its leading exponents such as Ansambel bratov Avsenik, Ansambel Lojzeta Slaka and a number of other pop-folk bands internationally famous. Partly owing to Slovenian emigrant communities, Slovenian popular folk music left an indelible mark on musical life in Europe and America.
